Build an itemized request with receipts and authorization.
What to do, in order
- List each expense, date, reason, amount and related service visit. Preserve receipts, authorization emails and proof of payment.
- Separate warranty benefits, promised reimbursement and other requested compensation. Ask which program or policy is being applied.
- Before incurring more costs, ask for a written limit and approval. If reimbursement is denied, request the reason and review route.
What you can say
“Please review the attached itemized expenses and identify which amounts are approved, which are denied, and the basis for each decision.”
What to watch for
Do not describe a goodwill offer as a legal entitlement. Lost wages, inconvenience and accessories may be treated differently.
