Sharing your story publicly
Make the account useful, specific, and supported.
What to do, in order
- Use a dated sequence of your own experiences, direct quotes identified as quotes, and documents you can substantiate.
- Remove VINs, account details, signatures, license plates and unrelated personal information from public copies.
- Distinguish a reported symptom, dealer finding, allegation and court or agency finding. Avoid claiming employee motives you cannot establish.
- Check any confidentiality terms and discuss active litigation with counsel before posting. Public attention is not a substitute for legal notice or filing.
